SENARU CRATER RIM (2461 MASL) MODERATE
Trip over view:
You will hike from Senaru Village (601 masl) to Rinjani crater rim (2641 masl) for 7 hours through lush tropical rainforest where you can see animals like, pig, black monkeys, various bird species as well as a variety of tropical plants like rattan trees, orchid, Pandanus trees, etc.
Wonderful sunset and shine sunrise,segara anak lake, new volcano baru jari, top mt.rinjani, half of Lombok island, three of gili island, mt.agung in Bali can be seen from camping place on the edge of crater rim 2641 masl.
This hike is suit for beginners, children at least 7 years old, families, honeymoon couple, who want to see the beautiful scenery of mount Rinjani without having difficult to climb to the top of Mt.Rinjani. 1 night camping on the edge of Rinjani crater rim 1(2641 masl) and 1 night at accomodation in senaru before hiking ( 2 nights in total ).
SUMMARY TREKKING ITINERARY
Day 0 “Meeting (On Arrival)”
• Once you arrive in lombok no matter by ferry or plane our driver will pick you up and take you to our office/accomodation in senaru to spend first night. Meet us to have small briefing and explain the hike procedure and prepare for your trip.
# General attention to all trekker participants please you have to come the day before trekking start and spend the night in senaru untill you feel fresh and not get delays.
Noted : coming and start trekking at same day litle bit risk about something you forget and ofcourse feel rush, however you could do it if don’t have much time in your travel list.
Day 01 Estimate Trekking Time 7 Hours + 2 Hours Lunch Break
• 07:00am get breakfast in your accomodation in senaru.
• 08:00 our mountain car will drop you off to national geopark office/senaru gate (700 masl) do second registration.
• 08:20 start ascend up to pos 1(915 masl) get water break.
• 09:00 directly up to pos 2 (1.500 masl) in 2 hours.
• 11:00 Arrive at pos 2(1500 masl) – get lunch break approx 2 hours while waiting for your porter cooking freshly meal.
• 02:00 continue up to pos 3 ( mondokan lokak 2000 masl).
• 03:00pm Arrive at pos 3 + have small cookies break.
• 05:00 Arrive at camping area Senaru crater rim (2641 masl) enjoying view, camping and dinner.
Day 02 ( Estimate Descend Time 6 Hours + 1 Hour Lunch Break)
Target : Senaru crater rim 1 (2641m) – Senaru village (601m)
• 06:15am wake up, see sunrise – 06:30 breakfast.
• 07:00 start descent down to senaru village.
• 11:30 Arrive at pos 1 (915m) spend 1 hour lunch break.
• 12:30-13:00 continue down to senaru Rinjani national geopark office/senaru gate, do check out report.
• 13:20 Arrive at senaru village ( 601m), drop you of to our office and Accomodation to take shower, enjoy fresh drink serve with fruit salad.
• 14:00pm direct to your next destination on lombok ( tete batu, kuta lombok, mataram, senggigi, air port, lembar, bangsal harbour – gilli T, Air, Meno).
